Before going at it from scratch, has there been any progress on providing the V4L support for the TVP5147 on the DM8168 EVM?  Or has anyone successfully integrated the device using the instructions in the App Note http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/DM81xx_AM38xx_Adding_External_Decoders_to_V4L2_Capture_Driver?
