LCD Controller Capability for 1080p resolutions

Hi,

For one of our requirements, we are in need of 1080p resolution for our LCD. While this translates to 125MHZ at 60fps, we understand that the AM335x supports this resolution and pixel clock. But is it really possible to achieve this rate with it? (There will be no video processing, only static image display).

And any one have practically used this configuration?

Hi,

On am335x pixel clock can be driven to max 150MHz and LCDC IP supports max of 2048*2048 resolution. I have not tried personally, it should work.

The maximum pixel clock frequency for AM335x is 127MHz. Please refer to the data sheet for the correct information.
