C6670 Power Estimation

A question from a customer who is interested in using the C6670 DSP.:

TI’s power consumption estimator spreadsheet for the C6670 is older than C6674, and not updated to silicon rev 2.   So, the power estimate for CVDD is quite a bit higher for C6670 than C6674 (almost 2x).     Do they have an updated spreadsheet available?    If not, are the CorePac estimates in the newer C6674 spreadsheet more accurate than older C6670 spreadsheet?

Also, is there a way to get a copy of the TMDSEVM6670L EVM schematic for review?

    Mark,

    We are close to providing an updated power spreadsheet with for the 2.0 on C6670.  Note, that the the C6674 and C6670 are not the same devices and the CVDD would not expect to be the same, the C6670 has a lot of coprocessors inside and more L2 memory per core that will consume more power.

    I don't expect any significant shift in power consumption on the update to the PG2.0 of C6670 in the power spreadsheet.

    The EVM schematics are available on Advantech's website.

    Is the power estimator spreadsheet for 6670 rev. 2 that you refer to available now? I can't find it anywhere.

    I've asked a co-worker who has been working on the power spreadsheets to comment on this.  The version I see on the web looks older than my posts, so it doesn't appear to have been posted.
