OMAP support

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65950, TLV320AIC3256, OMAP3530

Hi,

we are designing OMAP based custom board. In our design, Audio codec is required.we are using a power management IC that ic has an integrated codec.so,we are supported to used that one.

TPS65950 has an integrated voice codec (15-bit linear codec (8 and 16 kHz),

but customer requirement is

Audio codec rate                 : 8 KHz to 48 KHz subject to the audio encoder standard supports.

So, we choose a individual codec ic i.e.  TLV320AIC3256. Is it support with OMAP3530? Can you please provide the schematics for that?

jyothi

  • Hi Jyothi,

AFAIK it seems to be you can use this with MCBSP interface.

  • Jyothi,

Why are you going for external codec? TPS65950 has support for audio codec also. Please check the data sheet again.
