BeagleBone Angstrom and AM3352

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3359, AM3352

We are doing a design starting with BeagleBone and Angstrom Linux.

We would like to use the AM3352 processor instead of the AM3359 processor (because of cost).

I would like to know if the Angstom Linux that comes on the BeagleBone will run on the AM3352; or do I need to do a new build or something?

BTW:  Our application is a embedded Qt console application, no graphics is needed.

  • Hi Trey,

The AM3352 is pin compatible and should work. As long as you're using the ZCZ package type, it should be fine. Also, take a look at the Parametrics chart at [1] to see the list of supported operating systems.

    Regards,
    Joel
