Ethernet 10/100 and Gigabit ethernet on AM335x

I'm designing a board with the AM335x package zcz, and we are implementing a Fast ethernet interface on MAC1 with the LAN8720A-CP in RMII, and a Gigabit ethernet interface on the MAC2 in RGMII using the KSZ9021RN (micrel). Mi question is :

Does the MDIO interface support this kind of configuration?

Hi Sandro,

Yes, it does. Check section 14.3.8 of the AM335X TRM, and Errata 1.0.14 (errata is only for silicon revision 1.0).

This pin multiplexing combination is possible and is defined as CPSW IO set # 13 in the Pin Mux Utility.

However, there is one limitation you need to consider. The MDIO signals and RMII signals for port 1 are part of the VDDSHV5 power domain. The RGMII signals required for port 2 are part of the VDDSHV3 power domain. This requires the VDDSHV3 and VDDSHV5 power terminals must be sourced by the same power supply.
