how to use dsp 6482 on chip timers

hi,

i need to know how to set CNT,TCR and  PRD  registers of  dsp to control timers,

in my requirement i need to reset timer every time EDMA completes transfer from L2 memory and generate Transfer complete interrput.

so question how to reset timer0 every the transfer completer interrupt in generated,

 

actually i need to calculate time between two transfer if this time exceed a predefind value then i need to generate a interrupt to take a set of actions.

can you please help.any reference will be appreciated,
