Simple project for C674x on DM816x device

Hi, all!

I'm a new in DSP programming, please, help me to begin. I need write a simple DSP program for C674x to blink LEDs on my custom board. But I don't know how to start. I have several questions:

1) Can I build DSP program using only dsp-devkit and load it into C674x by using slaveloader or firmwareloader?

2) Were I can found simple examples and Makefile form the DSP project (or any needed component)?

Please give me advise. Thank you.

P.S. I use ezsdk_5_04_00_11 and discovering syslink samples, but they very big and difficult for the first steps.

1) You should be able to load any DSP program with the SysLink slaveloader. This will require SysLink driver to be installed.

2) On the other hand, there *is* a very simple SysLink example which you can modify:

Look at: ti-ezsdk_dm814x-evm_5_04_00_11/component-sources/syslink_2_10_03_20/examples/archive/ti_platforms_evmTI814X_linux/ex01_helloworld.zip

There is a makefile there to build, and you can use SlaveLoader to load the DSP side.

If eventually you are going to be doing ARM/DSP IPC anyways, it may be good to start from a SysLink example foundation.

I already found ex01_helloworld.zip and modified it. It is working :) But I have simple question, please tell me where I can read about *.cfg and *.bld files in this examples (Dsp.cfg and ../shared/config.bld) Thank you!

*.cfg and *.bld files are RTSC files. I am not sure is there any Syslink-specific documentation for these files, but the main repository of RTSC documentation is RTSC-Pedia. Here is the overview, and here is a tutorial where *.cfg and *.bld files are explained in more details.
