Hi all,
In SysLink version 2.20 the FrameQ module became deprecated. Could it be downloaded as separately package later? Or is the FrameQ product passing out and we have to implement the functionality ourselves?
Best regards,
Lajos

Lajos:
FrameQ will not be available as a separate package, so it is expected that customers would rewrite the functionality using a combination of more primitive SysLink 2 modules, like MessageQ (or Notify), ListMP and/or SharedRegion.
Dear Gil,
It is a bad news. Regarding to SysLink FAQ: Note that in a future release, it's likely that FrameQ and RingIO will be moved into a separate product to reduce the scope of core SysLink and allow them to have independent dev cycles.
So, I see contradiction here. :(
Lajos:
Since that FAQ was written, the likelihood of FrameQ and RingIO being moved into a separate product has diminished. In fact, there are no plans to do that.
The latest product release notes supersede the FAQ: "FrameQ is deprecated. While still supported, it will be removed in a future release."
FrameQ has been deprecated as of 2.20.x, so we would advise against basing future work on it. However, the source code is available for reference, and tech support continues to answer questions on it.
Thanks for point out the SysLink FAQ language on FrameQ; we will update it to clarify.
