swMs "sparkling "problem

hi all ~

Here is my question below :

In my case, I decode 3 channels and use swMs in "link_api_demos"

and when it goes into "Chains_swMsGenerateLayoutParams(0, 3, &swMsPrm)" ( it means "layoutId = 3 " )!

it will show 3 images and the front 2 small images always sparkle but behind image is correct

Hello,

I seem to face the same problem.

When the layout mode is set to 'PIP' mode. The front windows (small windows) flickers and background looks OK.

I'm using DM8168_DVRRDK_V03.00.00.00 on ti8168. In the mcfw_api_demos code, the layout id is DEMO_LAYOUT_MODE_2CH_PIP.

There is a bug in SwMs in RDK 3.0 which causes the sparkling issue you are seeing. Can you migrate to RDK 3.5 release where this issue is resolved,.

We just confirmed RDK 3.5 fixed this issue. Could you simply list the changes (chain, link, M3 firmware, or driver) for this fix?

We have used RDK 3.0 for a long time. If it's not necessary, we will just integrate the change into our current RDK code.

You will have to pick SwMs link (dvr_rdk/mcfw/src_bios6/links_m3vpss/swmsLink), SwMs interface header files (mcfw/interfaces/link_api/swmsLink.h) and hdvpss driver package fully from RDK 3.5 release
