EDMA on OMAPL138

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAPL138

Dear E2E:

Is EDMA_CC0 accessible by ARM in OMAPL138?

I use OMAPL138 with emulator "Blackhawk-M".

When emulator is connected to JTAG port and to ARM processor - the EDMA_CC0 is not shown in the "register window" - I can see EDMA_CC1 only.

EDMA_CC0 is shown in "register window" when emulator is connected to the DSP processor on OMAPL138 - I can see both EDMA_CC0 and EDMA_CC1.

That is why I am asking - if ARM processor on OMAPL138 can control EDMA_CC0?

According to data sheet "Memory Map" - EDMA accessible by ARM and DSP processor.

Thank you fort your help,

Boris Ruvinsky

  • Boris,

EDMA CC0 can be accessed by the ARM. You can check this detail in the Technical reference manual in system interconnect chapter and also in the ARM subsystem or AINTC where it mentions EDMA CC0 events can interrupt the ARM.

I amnot  sure why this doesn`t show up in the register view. Perhaps you should mention this query on the Code composer studio forum with a version number to see if this is a known issue.

    Regards,
