hi All,

I am using DM8148 for my project.

I want to take an Input from the Composite Video / S-Video Port. And we would like to send the same as an output via the HDMI port. The drivers in the TI package are all output drivers, and the composite video does not have the 'Input' functionality. We would like you to help us in setting up the Composite Input drivers as well as provide assistance on switching the HDMI output to take inputs from either a stored file that is played or from the Composite/S-Video port.

Are you using EZSDK or V4L2 capture + display for your requirement?

I am using the Gingerbread SDK from TI. It has the VPSS drivers which internally calls V4L2 i guess.

Hi,

I am not very sure about support on GB. But first you need to add support for TVP5147, which is composite input, to V4L2 capture driver. Here is appnote on how to add that support.

hi,

The EVM and my product design uses the TVP5158 for composite input. Can i follow the same guide for even this chip?

Hi,

IO expansion card is having TVP5147 and not TVP5158.
