Debug information

Good morning,

i have the necessity to have Log information during debug of my appllcation. I use CCS 5 with C6457 and i have used Log_Info functions.

During the debugging of application Log is not show in RAW_Logs until a stop or break point is reached.

Is possible to have a logging (same as Log_printf in CCS 3.3) that show info without reach a break or stop command?

Which BIOS version are you using?

I'm Using SYS/BIOS 6.x and DSP C6457.

Fabino,

Are you using BIOS 5.x? If so you should be enable to enable RTDX which would give you logging information without having to halt the target.

Please see the BIOS user guide in the installation for more information on RTDX and how to use it.

Hi Judah,

I use SYS/BIOS 6.32.5.54, (i remember that BIOS 5.x is last DSP/BIOS).

The proble is that Log_info during debug is show only after a break.

Is there a method (same as Log_printf in DSP/BIOS) in order to show Info at run time without brek the execution?

Fabio,

Yes, its possible but its not simple. Its called UIA. You can read about it and get it here:
