"Recommended Power-On Hours" vs MTBF

Expert 1070 points

Hi,

How the "Recommended Power-On Hours" parameter found in the OMAP-L13x / TMS320C674x data sheets corellates with MTBF and/or DPPM?
Is the "Recommended POH" an equivalent of MTBF and otherwise what is the estimated failure rate for 100,000 POH mentioned in the DS ?

BR,
- Denis

  • Denis,

TI does not spec or make any claims on DPPM or MTBF for its devices. Correlation analysis is not normally performed between Recommended POH and DPPM expect when we run into an issue which do not adhere to published TI specs and which could cause device failure.

TI's standard terms and conditions of sale for semiconductor products can be viewed here for warranty information.

    Hope this answers your concerns.
