Is there a wiki page that explain the abbreviations used by Sitara datasheets and documents?

if yes, where is it? if no, can we create one?

When I read the datasheets and manuals, a lot of abbreviations

puzzled me, for there is no explanation for them. I have to guess

from the context or search the internet one by one. If we have a

wiki page on this, we can get the meaning quickly. If someone

have difficulty on a abbreviation, he can add the abbreviation to

the wiki. If another person knows that, he can edit the wiki page

to add the explanation.

Thanks and best regards,

Lihua

  • I Google'ed and found this wiki, for starters:

    http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Acronyms

  • Hi Lawrence,

Thank you very much for the link. I'm very glad there is such a link,

but I think it's not enough for a beginner. I'll try to populate the page.

hope someday it become a very useful tool for the beginners.

  • Hi Lihua,

Thank you for notifying us about the puzzling abbreviations. We try to explain each abbreviation the first time we mention the abbreviation. Sometimes we don't. We'll keep your post in mind to remind ourselves to explain as best we can.

Thank you also for helping fill out the wiki.

  • Hi Theodore,

I know it's difficult  for you knowledged person to notice the new abbreviations for a beginner. TI's documents is very rich and elaborate. You're doing very well, I've learnt a lot, thank you guys.

I think it will be very good if you appendix a abbreviation table in datasheets. Then we can go to the table every time we see a abreviation, because sometimes we can't remember a abbreviation the next time we see it, most of times we don't read the datasheet from the beginning to the end(most of datasheets is very huge). In that case we need to search the whole datasheets, if the abbreviation shows up a lot, it's not very convenience and directly.

    Again, Thanks for your attention.

    Best regards,

    Lihua
