It seems Win CE is booting fine, the photograph of desktop on full boot up is as under

but when I am opening mp3 file the following error screen is popping..

"cannot '\sdcard\anjana anjani\02-hairat.mp3'.please verify that the path and filename are correct and try again. (0x8004022f)"

please suggest source of error.

  • Hi Hemant,

Will the file play if it's just at \SDCard?

Can you try coping the file to the root so it doesn't have to play from the SD Card?

Hi, I admit this is not my area of expertise.

That said, debugging things I do have a skill for.

    try http://support.microsoft.com/kb/909250

as the error is " unsupported file format " and MS seems to have a possible fix for it.

    Hope this helps.

how one can copy file to the root.

what i know is that i can select directly copy to root option in android when using SD card with USB card reader.

how can i do this over winCE.

  • I noticed the Blue E on the desktop.   You might want to create a shared folder on your PC and see if you can use IE to navigate to your PC and view the files in there, then copy to WinCE.

On the PC, navigate to your hard drive, create a new folder, right click and enable sharing.  Right click and " copy " on your desktop right click and " Paste Shortcut " so you always have a fast way to the folder on the PC to see what files you are sharing with the WinCE device.  The next step is where it gets complicated and as this is mostly a one way conversation, alot will be assumed on my part.  I will assume you have a router and that you are using wireless on the WinCE device.

On the PC, click start, RUN and enter CMD then click OK, it should open a DOS box.  type IPCONFIG and hit enter.  This will give the IP address to the PC that needs to go in to the explorer bar on WinCE.  On the WinCE device open Explorer and try google, yahoo, or e2e.ti.com to ensure you get web pages.  When you can navigate the web, type in the IP address for the pc and see what happens.  If you enabled sharing with a password, you should get a login box.  If the PC firewall doesn't let you share, you will see an error message either 404 ( can't find page ) or worse 500 ( not alowed ).

When you have gotten in to the PC, Please BOOKMARK IT so you can access from your bookmarks!

The other method of just pulling the card and using usb is what I do as all the methods for connecting the PC to WinCE are too numerous to go in to detail here.

Hope this method is simple and easy to do ( and that WinCE has FTP installed for Internet Explorer ).
