I just want to be sure - In my application I sometimes need to decode a frame from existing video file (h264) and save it as jpeg. If I'm not lucky and that frame is not a key frame I suppose I must found the nearest preceding IDR frame and decode all frames up to the one I need. Is that true?
Also I hope that reference frames are held in memory per codec instance so there shouldn't be a problem when several codecs are running at the same time.
