Debugging problem with TMDXDOCKH52C1 – Experimenter Kit

Hi,

I am new to TI and the CCS environment and bought the TMDXDOCKH52C1 – Experimenter Kit to learn more. I have downloaded the MCU SDK package and loaded the included TCP Echo example. When debugging the example I get the following error:

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -2131 @ 0x0)
Unable to access device register. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK).
(Emulation package 5.0.791.0)

I have connected the USB to J20 in the evaluation board, JP2 in the corresponding docking board is set to USB. (I have not attached 5v supply to the docking board, is this necessary or is powered by the USB?)
What have I done wrong?

I am interesting in a more step by step approach to this evaluation- board (the example in MCU SDK), but only finds the getting started document located on TI’s homepage. Does anyone know about a more detailed document?
