Why do I get these warnings and how do I get rid of them?

Hi,

I got the following warnings when building my project: the first warning was given at the linking stage and the last two warmings were generated while in the XDC/xs of configuration stage. Please see attached image and zipped cfg/xs files for details. Thanks for your help!!

Which version of SYS/BIOS and XDCTools are you using with your application?

Alan,

I am using SYSBIOS "bios_6_32_05_54" and XDCTools "xdctools_3_22_04_46" that came with "CCStudio_v5.1.1.00028". Syslink version is "syslink_2_00_05_85".

Re: the warning #10063. This one comes from the SysLink linker template file. You can suppress this warning by adding the following to your link line.

--diag_suppress=10063

In CCS, you can select the C6000 Linker options > Diagnostics. Scroll down to Suppress diagnostic textbox and enter just the number (10063). CCS will automatically add the --diag_suppresss option.

I don't know about the other warnings you are getting.

Thanks. This removes the warning #10063.

I have only two more warnings left. They are related to SYSBIOS Tasks' defaultStackSize and idleTaskStackSize. Hope some expert can help with those two warnings.

The other two warnings are associated with the TSK module "STACKSIZE" and TSK instance "stackSize" parameter settings.

Can you share your config file so I can see what the apparent conflict is?

Please add the following lines

var TSK = xdc.useModule('ti.bios.TSK');
TSK.STACKSIZE = 2048;

just after this line:

var Memory    = xdc.useModule('xdc.runtime.Memory');

in your "IonEDspApp_ti8167.cfg" file and try building again.

This will make the "bios" and "sysbios" default stack sizes equal to each other and avoid the warning.
