I have a few unclear issues regarding the reset conditions of the GbE switch in the C6678 DSP:
Suppose I got the entire DSP up and running (including GbE block) and I now send a SW reset command to one/all cores.
a. Will the GbE switch be reset as well?
b. If yes, how long will it take the GbE switch to be fully functional again (after unresetting the cores)?
The reason I'm asking this is because I would like to use the GbE switch capabilities in a dual DSP environment.
DSP#1 will have the uplink as an input and DSP#2 will be connected to the network through DSP#1.
I would like to understand more thoroughly:
1. What will happen to the link between DSP#1 and DSP#2 in case DSP#1's cores are going through reset?
2. Do you think such a topology is recommended in terms of ETH link availability?
