Error accessing DM8148 ISS registers

It is L3 Memory Map so you have to disable MMU to be able to read them.  Or, you can map it to DDR in Linux to read them.

Why can I read other L3 registers such as 58000000 and 5c000000 without any problem? DDR is mapped to L3 as well.

How do I map the ISS registers to DDR, could you give me a pointer?

            I am using IPNC_RDK_V3.00 on DM8127 with mt9j003 up & running.

(since you mentioned about mem_rdwr,out, I am posting my querry here.)

I am trying to use i2c_rdwr.out.

Example command is as below.

              ./i2c_rdwr.out -r 0x36 0xxxx 1

but it throws Error: ERROR  (osa_i2c.c|OSA_i2cTestMain|281): OSA_i2cOpen( instId = 3 )

 if you have a look @ /dev/ under filesystem, u can see only i2c-1 available. So if I use InstId=1 instead of 3 It is able to open the device, but unfortunately my sensor is mot connected to instId=1 !!

How Can I go ahead to solve it. Just I want to read/write to sensor registers using I2C. Please help.

You need to enable i2c-2 in kernel.

in board-ti8148ipnc.c: ti814x_evm_i2c_init() add

omap_register_i2c_bus(2, 100, ti814x_i2c_bus2,
                    ARRAY_SIZE(ti814x_i2c_bus2));

I have the same problem like you ,How do you solve it ? and Why?

Is this register region mapped in A8 memory space? or is this register address correct from A8 View? Otherwise this will not be accessible..

To clarify accessibility of the Ducati ("Media controller") memory ranges from the Cortex-A8 (and various other L3 initiators):

For Ducati these addresses are after the L1 MMU but are not affected by the L2 MMU.
