Profiling problem

Make sure that you are not running the program in "Debug" configuration, but with "release" configuration.

Can you tell me which version of CCS are you using?

If you right click on the project and click on project properties, in the build options select -03 and no debug. Hope this helps.

Something which is shown in the image above. Above one shows for "debug", you can change the option through drop down menu and make sure you select "-03" as Opt Level and select "No Debug" in the Generate debug info

Thanks a lot for your guidance.

When I enable profiling and run the code with the settings as you mentioned, it encounters a software breakpoint and halts, although I haven't used any software breakpoint in the program. What can be the reason for the breakpoint.

As a simple test, could try with new workspace and if this problem persists?

sorry sir to bother you again. I am attaching pics to elaborate the problem:

image above shows the loop I am using in profiling.

I want to count number of cycles (as shown in image above).

The debug options as you mentioned.

No breakpoints in it.

it encounter a sw breakpoint, also the access count is 724, shouldn't it be 2900 (loop count).

Sorry,  I was assuming that you are using CCSv5, hence my suggestion was to use new workspace.

Coming to the issue, can you see if the problem persists in "Debug" mode?
