AM335X unused PIns

Hello

I am using AM3352ZCZ in my application.

Some pins are unused in design.

What should we do with those pins?

Can we left it floating or connect it to gnd?

Br

Manish

  • Hi Manish,

Generally speaking when device signal pins are unused in the system, they can be left unconnected unless otherwise noted in the device datasheet. For unused input pins, the internal pull resistor should be enabled, or an external pull resistor should be used, to prevent floating inputs. Unless otherwise noted, all supply pins must always be connected to the correct voltage, even when their associated signal pins are unused.

If you have any doubts, please post the pins that concern you, and we'll suggest what to do.

  • Hi Biser,

    I'm sorry for posting.

I have same question which is about AM335x unused DDR pin,
because we don't need external memory at all.
What to do with VDDS_DDR supply pin if DDR is unused?
In datasheet it isn't mentioned specially, so does it need to be connected to 1.8V or 1.5V ?
I understand that other DDR pins can be left unconnected.

    best regards,
    g.f.
