i have read the beaglebone linux user guide there they mentioned insert the given linux loaded SD card and they mentioned some steps to boot from ubuntu desktop. but i didn't get any linux images with SD card.

  • Hello, the easiest way is going to here and follow the instructions

    http://downloads.angstrom-distribution.org/demo/beaglebone/

  • Thanks for your reply Mr.Enrique

I read the instructions and got the img.zx file name as Angstrom-Cloud9-IDE-GNOME-eglibc-ipk-v2012.05-beaglebone-2012.09.12.img.xz

created the SD-card then i booted the card. its not showing the START_HERE DIdirctory  in my ubuntu desktop and already i have installed the TI given linux SDK.

In terminal shows the following error while booting.

    U-Boot SPL 2011.09-00053-gb423c52 (Aug 10 2012 - 11:26:55)
    Texas Instruments Revision detection unimplemented
    No daughter card present
No AC power, disabling frequency switch
    OMAP SD/MMC: 0
    reading u-boot.img
    reading u-boot.img
    Invalid FAT entry

    Thanks
