H.264 codec - interlace support

Guru 20755 points

Hello,

I would like to ask about HDVICP H.264 codec (DM8168):

1. In datasheet it is said that codec support both progressive & interlaced. Does it mean that bitstream will be interlaced or progressive, or that the codec always de-interlace the interlaced input so that the bitstream is always progressive ? is interlaced format tested in the codec ?

2. Is the codec output format is 420, and 8 bits per pixel (in HDVPSS I see that 420 format is represented as 12 bits per pixel) ?

Regards,

Ran
