Hello,

Due to some malfunction operations, I lost the original bootable Linux SD Card contents and its not working for me anymore. The SD card was come with AM335x Starter kit.

Could anyone help to create an exact replica of the SD card through any medium. I need to have the same functionalities (matrix browser, wi-fi & other existing features) which were available with the original SDcard. It should also boot in the same way as original SDcard does.

I searched for solution and found some realted links but those are little confusing for me as i am totally new on this AM335x TI platform.

Mandar,

Try using the creat-sdcard.sh script in the "bin" directory of the SDK. You should select to only create a 2 partition SD card since you do not have all the contents for a 3 partition card. Creating only two partitions of SD card will bring all contents which were previously present in original linux bootable SD card?
Does AM335x starter kit use only 2 partitions SDcard?

Mandar,

It will bring the boot and rootfs partitions back. The third partition just contains installers, etc which can be downloaded from the web.

Mandar,

Based on your requirements, you can go with 2 partitions SD card. First one is bootable DOS partition consisting u-boot, uImage, x-loader. Second partition will hold the linux root file system. You do not actually require the 3rd partition as it is mainly for workspace purposes and have some installer files which are available for download at TI website.

Thanks for your information guys.

I succeeded with creating a new SD card with 2 partitions and after creating the same i inserted the card to EVM, but it didn't respond.

While creating SD card, one file was not copied saying that "this file is not found" within SDK.
File name : u-boot-image.bin

How can i get this file?

That file is not needed for am335x. Can you provide the following:

1. What you pointed the script to use. i.e. the options you used to create the SD card.

2. a listing of the contents of the boot partition of the SD card

3. A boot log of what is going on when you try to boot the SD card

Hi,

I too lost my linux sdcard that came with the board. I am trying to create one using the pre-built images. I see that it is available at this purticular link.

http://www.ti.com/tool/linuxezsdk-sitara (2nd in the list) . But it says url not found. Is this a temporary issue. if not is there any other place where i can download these.
