AM335x-EVM-SK Angstrom beaglebone image

Hello,

Is it possible to boot the am335x-evm-sk using the beaglebone angstrom image? The boards are very similar. I have been using the TI Linux psp, which works very well.

II would really like make use of the the angstrom pre-built packages (python, python-twisted, etc.) and these seem to be missing in the arago distribution.

Hi Dylan,

The two boards do have some differences, like using different PMIC's, different DDR memory type, and different pinmuxing. I don't think the angstrom image will work if directly applied on the Starter Kit.

Hi Biser,

Thanks for your quick response.

Would it be feasible/ relatively easy to build the TI kernel and uBoot, provided by the Linux SDK, using the angstrom toolchain?

I am new to embedded Linux and while the EZSDK is excellent, the angstrom distribution provides many more prebuit packages than the ti arago distribution.

I'm no Linux expert myself. I deal mostly with hardware issues on the e2e forums. I believe you will find some information on the Angstrom site:
