MP3 Decoder on C5515 ezDSP

Hello experts,

I have downloaded TI's free MP3 Player software on C5515 eZdsp USBStick from following site:

Now I want to watch the CPU load, but it shows nothing.Then I try some TI's build-in demos and find that CPU load can work well.So I think that it may be the software's problem.

Could you please do me a favor?Thanks a lot!

Hi Chen,

at the time I wrote this article I did not use/try the graphic tool for measuring the CPU load, but run the simple cycle count feature. Since DSP/BIOS is used in the project the graph should work as expected. You mentioned that your setup works with other projects, so the project setup might be the reason. The MP3 project was created on CCS4!

Would be the cycle count feature be already enough for your needs? If you still looking for the CPU load graph it will take a bit longer since I have to create the setup from the scratch. Please let me know.

Hi Lars,

Thanks for your reply.Yes, I build this program on CCS5, maybe it's the reason.Now I have got the cycle count feature,too. So I think the CPU load is not necessary for me any more.
