Hi,

I have been using TI based OMAP 5912 OSK Development Kit Board since from the past 2 years for various development work of mine but now I had a problem with the erase of bootloader. I tried re-flashing of U-boot successfully with the Flash Recovery Utility program provided but in vain as I could not get the console prompt of U-Boot after pressing the target reset button on my minicom terminal. Even I checked in all aspects with the baud rate, different serial cables but always i could get the console prompt as shown in the attached screenshot. It is difficult to suspect where exactly the problem lies.

Any pointers or suggestions would be a great help so as to resolve the problem at my end.

Dileep,

This forum is intended for support of the OMAP5430 and OMAP5432 processors. Unfortunately the OMAP5912 is not supported through these forums as it is quite an old device.

You can try contacting your TI Representative and ask if they have a flashing tool that you could use for OMAP5912 processor.

Hi Manuel,

Thanks for the response. Currently I don't have any details regarding TI Represenative as on what date the board has been shipped by our company and all but I tried with the Flash Recovery Utility program by downloading it from TI site and successfully re-flashed. As soon as power is on only 1 LED glows out of 3 in the board.

The Problem is when I try to communicate the board with the help of minicom terminal I used to get the following output with all the Junk Characters as @#$^~.......

Please help me to resolve this issue.

It is good to know that you flashed the board, about the characters the only thing that I can think is to check the speed and values of the serial ports and match them at both sides.
