Hello,

We want HDMI interface in our product. We are using AM335x processor.

We use an HDMI Transmitter with AM335x. We think, LCD interface can interface directly to that HDMI transmitter and then get HDMI output video.

We read sii9022a is one option.

So any one tried this. Then can help us? from where we can get the schematics?

Or any other better option available. Looking forward your reply.

Hi Ameesh,

The AM335X EVM schematics, page 9, shows an HDMI interface (http://www.ti.com/litv/zip/sprr164). I think it's the same transmitter too.

Hello,

Is there any drop in replacement part for SiI9022A?

Or can you suggest any other HDMI transmitter chip?

Hi Ameesh,

I don't think you will find a drop-in replacement of the SiI9022A, except possibly some other HDMI transmitter from Silicon Image. Unfortunately their datasheets are not public. Here are some links to other manufacturers:

I know this has been answered, but we've actually used a TI TFP410 (http://www.ti.com/product/tfp410) to convert the LCD output data to DVI/HDMI.

We did this on our MityARM-335x Development Kit (http://www.mitydsp.com/products-services/base-boards/mityarm-335x-dev-kit/) using 16 bit LCD mode, but you should be able to route all 24 bits if you need to... I already go through TF410.But we need full functionality of HDMI means we need audio also.

That is why we are going with another solution.
