Support for Audio Re-sampling

Hello all,

I am working with a custom OMAP4460 based hardware platform running Linux and Android.  The software port is based on TI's L27.IS.2.P2 Android ICS Release (http://omappedia.org/wiki/L27.IS.2.P2_OMAP4_Icecream_Sandwich_Release_Notes)

The design allows for playback of audio at 48KHz only.

The custom hardware platform has the capability of accepting incoming audio streams which can be of any standard sampling rate (44.1 KHz, 48 KHz and 96 KHz).  Does the current software on OMAP4 support a re-sampling feature?

Thank you for your time.

Regards,

Kanagesh

  • Hi Kanagesh,

Yes, the ABE has some SRCs in order to play and capture using audio and voice rates (8, 16, 44.1 and 48 KHz) you just need to know what ports to use for each case.

You may want to take a look at the driver architecture for a better reference: http://www.omappedia.org/wiki/Audio_Drive_Arch
