Building application for DMVA2IPNC-MT5 or DM368IPNC

Hi,

We bought a DMVA2IPNC-MT5 from APPRO Photoelectron. The DMVA2 seems to be based on the DM368. We encountered many problems to install the software packages (APPRO SDK and DVSDK). We are trying to build an application provided in one of the software packages. We are experiencing the exact same problem mentioned within that thread:

So, we are trying to build the kernel in a way to configure the camera to load the file system from the host computer at boot time. We do not achieve building the kernel.

Is there anybody who can help us to progress?

I've worked with several DMVA2, DM365, and DM368 and had little issues once I understood the environment release. I did not see any issues with rebuilding a kernel... What are you seeing? Based on the thread you added it looks like environment issues.

You should be able to use load/run the rootfs via tftp or NFS once you have everything built. Again you are most likely having environment issues.

You are actually right, it was an environment issue. We observed that the DVSDK version we downloaded from the TI Website was not valid for our platform (DMVA2IPNC-MT5), even if it was the exact same version number as the DVSDK from the Appro installation package.

As we had difficulties to install the development environment, we decided to write our own installation guide based upon Appro and TI's guides. Our document brings those guides together, I believe it should help us to install the development environment in the future. The guide can be found at ftp://ftp.c2t3.ca/.

We are now properly installed to develop upon our IPNC camera.
