GPIO usage

I want to use the leds and pushbuttons on AM335x EVM card with a qt application. Could you please recommend a path to follow?

Ok, lets make the question more specific; what are the gpio numbers of the AM335x EVM card's leds? The configuration dip switches are set to 0.
