USB detection on BeagleBone Demo Kit!

Hello All;

I plugged USB pen drive to BeagleBone Demo kit;

which has linux os!

If i do ; lsusb command it's showing but not getting popped on desktop?

Also not at all seeing any type of sdb on /media?

so what i need to do , to make detect and pop on desktop pen drive?

There are a lot of people out there can help out and in a lot of instances may have already solved your issue. You will need to let people know what version the board is and what version of the image is that you are using. The images can be found at:

I believe the demo kit runs the Angstrom Distribution. All releases of Angstrom have udisks-manager which is responsible for mounting new storage devices in /media

We'd need kernel logs to see if the kernel was able to register the storage device correctly.

Please refer to the links above, and also provide output of kernel logs (run the command dmesg) to give more debug information.
