Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3874
Hi,
Does anyone succeed to boot AM3874EVM up by EMAC boot?
My customer can't do it. They say that bootp is not issued by AM3874.
If someone succeeded it, please let me know.
Best regards,
Michi

Hello,
As far as I know the EMAC boot is working and it is validated on these devices, so the problem could be in the configuration and/or the hardware setup.
Have you checked these:

http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/DM816x_AM389x_EMAC_Boot
Make sure that you meet all ROM code requirements and that there is only one DHCP server responding to the BOOTP request from the EVM.
You can try a setup with a crossover cable to eliminate a potential problem in your network.

Dear Vladmir-san,
Thank you for your asking.
Yes, this issue have solved. Customer changed the server from own unique server to tftpd32 TI recommended.
Now our customer system can boot up by EMAC boot.
