Hello All,

I have a TI based Beagle board but I am getting the problem while connecting through minicom terminal as boot loader prompt does not appear after pressing the reset button . I tried in different aspects by changing different serial cables but it did not work for me and it is difficult for me to suspect where exactly the problem lies.

Please help me to solve the problem.

Hi Dileep,

Your problem may due to various reasons, not only cable problem:

You must be sure that use the right boot order. If your boot loader is on the SD card you must be sure that booting from it. You could read more about boot order at the following link:

You must be sure that the environment variables are correct set and the console settings exactly. You could a tutorial at:

Hi ,

Sorry for delayed response. I found missing my MMC card to boot beagle board and even not able to boot from NAND Flash.

When I press user button on BeagleBoard I could no way get the x-loader prompt and keeps silent. As I checked there were no jumpers/switches to configure the bootmode of omap3530 and I tried booting up the board using uart boot mode but no help. I don't know what to do and how to proceed further so as to reflash the NAND memory back.

Any input would be a great help.
