Problem about adding DSP/BIOS configuration file in CCS 5 project

Hi,

I happened to a problem related to DSP/BIOS and my platform is dsk6713. When adding a new DSP/BIOS configuration file for the CCS 5 project, a window went out and said:

"Failed to update the system registry. Please try using REGEDIT".

If I still configure the HWI, the interrupt cannot be triggered in my code.

So what does that mean and how can I deal with it?

By the way, if I import my original CCS 3 project to CCS 5, it works. But when I clean and rebuild it, the HWI cannot work either.

Hi Zengli --

Can you try creating one of the example BIOS 5.x projects using the new project wizard? The Getting Started Guide should show you how to create an example project. Does the configuration tool work for these sample projects? I think you might have an installation problem. The "Failed to update" message is a host side tool problem and shouldn't have anything to do with the target code.

Unfortunately, the CCS 5 has no dsk6713 example BIOS 5.x project. I may have to take a look at the DSP/BIOS user's guide for details.

I finally figure out that it is caused by the permission issue of win7. If using CCSv5 as an administrator, this problem will disappear.
