6657 emac_open in forever loop

Hi,

WHen I run the client example for the 6657 I receive these messages in the console:

C66xx_0]

[C66xx_0] TCP/IP Stack Example Client

[C66xx_0] emac_init: core 0, port 0, total number of channels/MAC addresses: 1/1

[C66xx_0] MAC addresses configured for channel 0:

[C66xx_0] 08-00-28-32-96-AC

[C66xx_0] SGMII reset successful........

[C66xx_0] SGMII config successful........

when I halt the processor I am always in the emac_open function and never exit.

Turns out if an ethernet cable is not connected at both ends, the software remains in an infinite loop waiting to connect.

What wiki?

The only time I see the IP address displayed in the console is when the ethernet cable is connected to a pc and to the EVM. I have also found out that I can only ping the EVM if the ethernet connection is made prior to power on. Also, if the ethernet connection is ever disconnected while running, even if the ethernet cable is reconnected, I am never able to ping the EVM unless I restart the application. I asked eInfoChips about the BSP for the EMAC and they said they have no plans to change the functionality any time soon.

I have try it like this.

But when I load .out and run it.

It didn`t display IP address.

I can`t resolve it. Somebody tell that need FULL-RESET.
