Using gst-omx H.263 Decoder on DM8148

H.263 Codec should be supported on DM8148.

EZSDK 5.03.01.15 release with OMX 05.02.00.30 supports H264, MPEG4/H263, MPEG2, VC1 and MJPEG Decoders

I am using EZSDK05_04_00_11. Trying to play H.263 stream using playbin always uses s/w codec.

Has H.263 been disabled in this EZSDK? How to get it working?

remove comment.

After removing the comment from gstomx.c, H.263 streams are recognized, but I can play streams with resolution equal to or lesser than 176x144.

I did further debugging and found that omx_h263dec negotiates caps for streams with resolution higher than 176x144, but src pad shows a negotiated caps of 176x144 only while sink shows caps of the stream like 352x288. Hence, during playback using gst-launch "stream is corrupt" is thrown to console for every frame and the stop after some time with only audio playing. No video is shown

Could you link your pipeline?

You could try:

gst-launch --gst-debug=3 --verbose filesrc location=BPH263_1.mp4 ! qtdemux  !  ffdec_h263  ! ffmpegcolorspace  !  omx_scaler ! omx_ctrl display-mode=OMX_DC_MODE_1080P_60  ! gstperf ! omx_videosink

you could try to replace ffdec_h263 with omx_h263dec.
