FatFS Ramdisk tools for windows 7

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSBIOS

Hello,

I try to make a ramdisk with SYS/BIOS 6.34.0.18 using CCS 5.2.1 under windows 7.

Unfortunately I just found the utilities to build it for unix, I think (ae mkimage.x86U).

An older SYS/BIOS has exe's with it, but thei're not running on windows 7.

How can I compile those tools for windows?

regards

Armin

  • I filed a bug for this -- SDOCM00097160.    Not sure how these got removed from 6.34.0x, but we will add them back.

I built the attached copies that I built with gcc/Mingw.    Please let me know if these work for you on Windows7.

We provide the source files for these utilities so you should be able to rebuild them yourself if you have a Windows C compiler.

  • Hi Karl,

thank you for the support. It works like a charme.

    Something off topic:
We decided to use SYS/BIOS for our Electric Impedance Tomography system. The reasons are: hw & sw from the same house and the good support(?).  Now we would like to attend a training course, preferable in europe. I filled out 2 online requests and sent another 2 emails to asktexas@ti.com without any response.

Do you know any good address to get a decent training about SYS/BIOS?

    regards

    Armin

  • Here's an online version of training:

There's also a wiki page available via this page that has additional .ppt slides and training material
