Gstreamer video encoding with DM355EVM and recent Linux kernel

I'd like to do MJPEG encoding using Gstreamer with the DM355EVM and a recent Linux kernel.  I've built 3.6.3 and it boots fine.  I was able to compile CMEM from Linux Utils 3.23 against the new kernel and it appears to load correctly.  But with the older kernel, I was using the irqk, edmak, and dm350mmap kernel modules, which aren't present in the Linux Utils 3.23 release.  Do I still need these modules?  If so, are updated versions available that will compile with a recent kernel?
