Hi all.

I'm currently searching correct way to flash compiled images to NAND. But also i want to ask some question.

I didn't understand that what is the link between "ubi.img" and "system.img, userdata.img or rootfs.tar.bz2". There are lot's of document to flash(prepare) SD-MMC card boot but NAND. With the one document i was able to prepare NAND flasher sdcard. I used prebuilts of course. Everything works from NAND.

Also i compile "MLO", uImage and Filesystem files(like, system.img, userdata.img) But i need to get "ubi.img". I read UBIFS Support document and it's referred documents so i can make ubi.img file and flash it, i think. Bu i couldn't understand how can i apply my compiled files (system/userdata.img files or rootfs.tar.bz2) to ubi.img file.

Note: I need to use my own FileSystem so, i should change init.rc and startup logos.

It would be better if there is a tool to prepare NAND images from compiled one's.

Hi,

For steps on creating the ubi.img from your rootfs folder, you can follow the below link:

So, those steps can be:

- Extract your rootfs.tar.bz2.

- Download mtd-utils and build it.

- Create ubifs.img(follow the instruction from the above link).

- Create ubinize.cfg(follow the instruction from the above link).

- Create ubi.img(follow the instruction from the above link).

Now you are ready with your filesystem image to flash to NAND.

Using Fastboot you can flash your MLO, u-boot.img, uImage and ubi.img as per the instructions provided.

Finally i have image files which i need indeed.

Also i write a small instruction doc for this. It takes 9 pages.

Given methods lil bit complicated but reasonable.

Now i've new problem. This is color swap(Red and Blue) problem. I searched Errata and some thread on this forum. There are walkarounds. I will try on my next compile.

My board is AMM335xEVM and CPU has SGX compatible, but my final product will have AM3352 . So i compiled the stack without SGX. I think this affected.

Anyway. This not serious.
