PIN MUX Utility : Configure Ethernet

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3354, AM3352

I was configuring for AM335X ZCZ package for peripherals to find out the GPIOs. I have a doubt on how to configure for both the ethernet ports. The utility shows MDIO, MDIOPRUSS1. MII0PRUSS1 and MII1PRUSS1 as the peripherals for ethernet. Now the problem is I do not want to use the PRU blocks, so How do i configure both Ethernet ports because most of the pins for Ethernet are associated with the latter 3 peripherals mentioned above.

Also, the Pin mux utility shows a package conflict when I use it for ZCE package at all combinations of VDDSHVx voltages, is there any bug. More so that there is only one USB and lesser PRUs associated with GPIOs in ZCE package, or no PRUs in AM3352 and AM3354 ,but the peripherals do not reflect the same for them. How do I get through it ??

  • Hi Nitesh,

The standard Ethernet ports are under the GEMAC CPSW peripheral interface.

For ZCE package some of the VDDSHVx voltages are combined. You must check the AM335X datasheet for interfaces and pins that are omitted on the ZCE package.
