UART1 on beagleboard xm Rev c

Hi,

I want to enable uart2 on beagleboard xm rev c.

in Connector "P9"

I have setup pin mux for MCBSP3_CLKX and MCBSP3_FSX as uart2_tx and uart2_rx in beagle.c

cat /debug/omap_mux/board/core shows the correct mux.

But it is not listing as ttyO1 all the other 3 uart s are listing as ttyO0,ttyO2,ttyO3

Is there any thing more to do to enable uart2 .

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Dibin,

Check the corresponding board file for the initialized uart controllers. See whether you've enabled UART2?

Can you attach the complete zipped arch/arm/mach-omap2 and plat-omap directories?

Hi,

I was able to solve it , Besides the pinmux

In beagle.c i have added

omap_serial_board_init(NULL, 1);

which was not present and now i am getting uart2 as /dev/ttyO1,
