Connecting two cameras to the DM365

I am using TVP5158 with DM365. It allows the DM365 to acquire until 4 CVBS signals.

Okay, do you have the TVP5158 configured for "Pixel-Interleaved Mode" ?

How do you de-mux the pixels from each channel inside the DM365?

You can configure for pixel as well as line interleaved mode. But there is no support for hardware demux in DM36x. You´ve to do the demux in software. But DM81xx series has support for hardware demux.

What is the resolution and frame rate of your sensors?

When you say demux in software, do you mean use the DMA for splitting the input stream into two streams?

We are planning on sampling two PAL cameras, which according to the Wiki should be plenty possible.  :-)

Can you check the TVP515x datasheet whether gives every alternate pixels for the same channel in BT656. If this is guaranteed then you should be able to use DMA for the same, other wise you might have to use software demux.

Okay, thank you very much.

I programmed an fpga to mux the pixels from two tvp515x. It takes the 27MHz samples from each tvp515x and combines them to one 54MHz stream.

Hope the DMA is able to separate the 54MHz samples into two buffers.
