Where to get software for RDK which support MCFW

Hi TI,

I am from Singapore and I have DM8168 EVM board.

My local TI office does not provide DSP support.

They always refer me to this forum.

Where can I get RDK software with MCFW for DM8168 ?

Does TI provide support for RDK ?

Why is it not available for download ?

Please advise.

    DVRRDK download is available at UDWorks website (TI partner for DM8168 DVR) or at myregisteredsoftware.ti.com, if you have subscribed to it. You can also contact your local TI support to get you DVRRDK.

    Yes

    "Why is it not available for download ?"

    DVR RDK is only availalble for vertical markets for end equipments like DVR and NVR. To get access to DVR RDK the customer has to buy the DVR RDK hardware. Please find more details at www.ti.com/dvr

    In general Reference Design Kits (RDK) are targeted for specific end equipments and will be availalble only on purchase of the associated hardware. It is also not suitable for broad market applications, where you can freely download EZSDK.

    Thanks for update.

    It is not available at myregisteredsoftware.ti.com.

    I have attached 2 screen captures at myregisteredsoftware.ti.com.

    Local TI support does not support on DSP issue.

    Is there any other way that I can get from TI website ?

    I have DM8168 EVM hardware, must I buy another DVR RDK hardware so that I can get RDK (MCFW) software for DM8168 EVM ?

    Please advise.

    Hi Tan,

     

    My apologies for slight confusion on the myregisteredsoftware. DVR RDK (McFW) software package is bundled with the DVR/NVR reference design hardware that you can purchase from www.ti.com/dvr. Once you order a DVR, UDWorks, the supplier can enable you access to an FTP site, from which you can download the McFW RDK package. This is not a software that can be dowloaded openly from TI website.

    Please feel free to contact your local TI or distributor representative if you need additional help to order a reference design kit.
