Hi,

Our customer system does not use USB0_ID and USB1_ID. So both pins are opened.

But customer said to us , AM3874 becomes the GTO mode because both pins(USB0_ID and USB1_ID) are opened.

How does AM3874  to be set  for USB host mode?

Please let me know. Quick reply is very helpful for us.

    For USB host mode the ID pin must be tied to GND.

    Thank you for your quick reply. It is very helpful.

    For USB host mode, is it needed to do other setting (register setting etc)?  Does AM3874 USB module become to Host by only ID pin is tied to GND?

    Dear Pavel-san,

    Thank you for your information.

    Unfortunately, our customer uses WEC7 OS. So Wiki page information is not helpful.

    Do you know that AM3874 USB subsystem can work with host mode? Or is it only supported OTG mode?

    If the USB subsystem work with host mode, please let me know needed register setting.

    Hi Michi,

    According to the AM387x TRM, yes, the USB subsystem can work at host mode.

    25.2 Features Supported
    The main features of the USB Subsystem are:
    Supports USB Host operations at High Speed (Up to 480 Mb/s), Full Speed (Up to 12 Mb/s) and Low Speed (Up to 1.5Mb/s).
