New Blaze Tablet-2 is not booting up

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: 4460

Hi,

We got a new Blaze Tablet-2 4460 ES1.1(A) GP 1.5 Ghz.

We tried the steps given in First time flashing on eMMC.

But the device is not booting up.

After inserting SDcard having "u-boot.bin and MLO files" in it's boot partition into the tablet, only front Green LEDs are blinking.

Nothing is coming up on the screen.

We are using "4AI.1.7 OMAP4 Icecream Sandwich" Blaze Tablet version software.

Please help us, how to overcome this???

Regards,

Rajesh S

  • Hi Rajesh,

Could you please ensure that you are using the correct MLO for your Blaze Tablet 2 ES1.1 device at http://www.omappedia.org/wiki/Android:_Working_with_pre-built_binaries?

Also, check the SYSBOOT settings to boot from SD Card.

    Thanks & Best Regards,

    Venkat

  • Rajesh,

The fact that the 3 LEDs are blinking indicates that your MLO and u-boot are running, and that you have entered Fastboot mode.  You should be getting output on the serial terminal on your PC.  If not, please ensure that the mini USB cable is connected from the Blaze Tablet to the PC, and your serial terminal settings are correct (/dev/ttyUSB2 port, for example).  Entering Fastboot mode is the expected behavior since you only have the MLO and u-boot.bin on your SD card.  At this point, you should connect the micro USB cable and run Fastboot commands from your PC to flash the files to eMMC (ie, $ sudo ./fastboot.sh).

    Regards,
