Evaluation of TI AER algorithm

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TELECOMLIB, DM385

Hi,

Is there out-of-box demo available runing TI AEC-AER algorithm (http://www.ti.com/tool/telecomlib)  running on any TI development platform? We would like to test how AER algorithm running on our enclosure system. Ideally, we would like development platform that has Line In, Line Out, Microphone and Speakerphone ports that we can use to connect to our enclosure system. Thanks.

Prateek

  • Hi,

Yes, there are real time demo platforms that can connect to an enclosure. What processor based platform do you want to use? I'll direct you to the right team based on the processor that you're going to use, e.g., C55x, C64x+, ARM, etc.

  • Hi Jianzhong,

We are planning to use OMAP4 but my understanding is there is no real time demo platform available to test TI AEC on OMAP4. If that is indeed true, I am open to testing TI AEC on any other ARM based platforms like AM335x, DM81xx, DM3xx, etc.

All I am looking for is quick way to evaluate performance of TI AEC on an enclosure.

    Thanks,

    Prateek

  • Hi Jianzhong,

I forgot to add another point : To help evaluate, my understanding is demo should run on development platform that has 4 Audio Ports (likely 3.5mm jack) - Line In, Line Out, MIC and SPEAKERPHONE Outputs. This would help us connect Line In and Line OUT to PC. MIC and SPEAKERPHONE to  Enclosure system and allow us to test AEC performance.

    Thanks,

    Prateek

  • Prateek,

Unfortunately that kind of demo platform is not generally available. You'll have to contact the sales people from OMAP4 business unit. As far as I know, there is no such demo platform based on OMAP4. I know there are demo platforms based on DM385. So you may want to contact DM385 sales people as well.

  • Hi Jianzhong,

I understand AEC test application runs on Beagle board in fileIO mode. Is there test application that connects to beagle board speaker/microphone drivers for near end?

    Thanks,

    Prateek

  • Hi Prateek,

No, there is no test application that is generally available for TI customers. You'll need to write your own framework to test AER in real time.
