DDR2 vs DDR3 supply

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65910A

I see on several different AM335X  reference designs DDR2 and DDR3 memory used. I understand the DDR2 runs at 1.8v and is usually supplied from the 65910's VIO_SMPS regulator. I was under the understanding DDR3 needs 1.5v but on these designs (AM335X starter kit) the supplies are still connected to the 65910's VIO supply. I looked at the MLO start up code and I see nothing that adjusts the 65910's VIO voltage output so I assume it is still defaulting to 1.8V.  I do see an extra VTT regulator on the DDR3 designs and a regulator vref at 0.75 (half the 1.5v). What am I missing? Is the DDR3 actually supplied at 1.8V?
